The OWL510 is a Wi-Fi 802.11b/g device for long range wireless transmission, an ideal Point-to-Point and Last-Mile Wireless Internet solution. Housed in rugged IP68-rated metal case, it is weatherproof, watertight and rust-resistant, delivering reliable wireless broadband connectivity in harsh environments. OWL510 supports multiple operation modes:
AP mode: OWL510 operates as a fixed wireless access point with wall-penetrating high-power signal and long-range coverage to better serve Wi-Fi clients. Furthermore, it is equipped with multiple ESSIDs and VLANs to perform as multiple virtual access points (VAPs), which allows for segmenting a corporate network by VLANs to protect critical resources.
CPE (Client) mode: OWL510 functions as a Wi-Fi modem gateway to receive wireless signal over the last-mile Internet feed from WISPs - bandwidth assignable for each CPE.
WDS repeater mode (WDS-mesh node): OWL510 establishes multiple WDS links (up to 8) to connect neighbor access points together to extend wireless coverage.
